Energy, Joy, and Self-Care: A Holiday Survival Guide

The holiday season has a magical way of filling our cups, and somehow emptying them at the same time. There’s plenty to be thankful for; the twinkling lights, the laughter of family and friends, calendars packed with celebration. And a fair amount to tire us out; the shopping lists, event planning, and year-end deadlines. It’s beautiful but busy, and can often leave us feeling a bit off-balance from our regular programming. Staying on top of things can make for the most energy and calm throughout the festive break, and get us right on track for the new year ahead. Here’s a few ways to really enjoy this time, without compromising your energy.

Rest & Routine
Some late nights will be unavoidable, some you’ll find yourself glad you laughed, ate, and drank your way through. Where possible, prioritising a healthy, consistent dose of sleep, will make a huge difference on how the days get along. In terms of routine, it’s important to take a moment where you can, to look after you. This can be however you enjoy your peace, and preferably in a way that resembles your usual habits. Whether that’s a little walk with the dog, a skincare routine you’ve been loving, a few pages of a good book and a chamomile tea… A small ritual to remind your body that you’re thinking of it, and that it’s still a priority for you.

Nutrition & Nourishment
This is not the forum where we’ll tell you to avoid holiday treats. That’s just not us. But getting in your nutrients? That, we will preach. Whether the vitamins, fibre, and protein come after half a panettone is frankly none of our business. Try starting your day with something fresh and filling, sprinkled with a serve of Fountain of Youth Lifestyle Pure Tripeptide Collagen™ for an extra boost. Between the warmer weather (if you’re here in Aus) and the busier schedules, hydration is also something to get in check. Keeping a glass of water with a couple ice cubes and a slice of lemon or cucumber in hand can go a long way throughout the day to have you feeling refreshed and ready.

Mindfulness & Motion
Stress can be quite the drain during the holidays. While we may not be able to eliminate it entirely, taking a moment to pause can replenish your energy quicker than you might think. A few good stretches, some deep breaths in fresh air, however you unwind. It’s important to take those moments where you can spare, and use them to reset and regulate your nervous system. A bit of movement adds up as well, whether that’s a walk around the block or playing with the little ones. Those endorphins give us energy and strength that we can carry all the way into 2026.

Above all, remember that your balance is personal. Energy is something we’re trying to nurture, not chase. While there might be some long days, and longer to-do lists, this is a wonderful time to be present and partake in the celebration. We hope you spend the season well, without feeling spent after the season.
