A Collagen Treat: Ode To Claire’s
What better time to find a new sweet treat than the festive season. This week’s addition on the recipe front is Jacqui’s ode to Claire’s Kitchen At Le Salon on Oxford Street, Sydney. A brilliant institution in the social scene, and her favourite French restaurant in the area, that’s unfortunately closing up quite soon. This drink/dessert was the grand finale of the meal, and definitely part of the entertainment. One thing can be said for sure; it’s always looked forward to, and has never disappointed.
If you’re looking for a little elevation to an end of year celebration, whether feasting with friends, or simply wanting to get into the festive spirit, we recommend giving Claire’s Vodka Sorbet a try.
Claire’s Vodka Sorbet
Ingredients:
• 1-3 scoops of good quality sorbet
• 2-3 French macarons
• Persian fairy floss
• 1 shot of vodka (optional, but recommended)
• 1/2 tsp Fountain of Youth Lifestyle™ Tripeptide Collagen
Makes 1 serve.
Method:
1. Keep the glass in the freezer until serving.
2. Add the sorbet to the chilled glass. Sprinkle with Fountain of Youth Lifestyle™ Tripeptide Collagen.
3. Top with the fairy floss, adding the macarons on the side.
4. Pour over a shot of vodka to serve.
Notes from Jacqui:
Raspberry was always my favourite flavour for the sorbet, but to each their own!
I managed to get to some festive macarons (gingerbread, pistachio, and raspberry flavoured), and I must highly recommend. The macarons and gold dust can both be picked up from your local Coles.
To get particularly in the spirit of things, I also enjoyed adding some edible Christmas baubles.
Wishing you and your loved ones an especially silly season!
