Granola Clusters
I think everyone has a version of this, mine is a ‘cluster’ of many. Crisp, crunchy, and great for you. I found this recipe the perfect way to prepare a batch of healthy and affordable breakfasts that the family really enjoys, much more than anything bought from a store. My career has allowed me the privilege of travelling around quite a bit, and I found a particular maple syrup in Austin, Texas from a cooking shop in the Domain by the name of Sur La Table. The Canadian syrup has a natural mica in it and quite literally sparkles. That’s my secret ingredient.
This one is featured in my new Collagen cookbook: The Fountian of Youth Lifestyle Collagen Cookbook by Jacqueline Hutton. A collection of my favourite recipes.
NB: 1 x serve Collagen = 1g or ½ tsp Fountain of Youth Lifestyle™ Tripeptide Collagen
Breakfast
Makes 1 large mason jar.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup mixed nuts/seeds
- ½ cup honey or maple syrup
- ⅓ cup oil
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 4 tsp Fountain of Youth Lifestyle™ Tripeptide Collagen
- Pinch of salt
Method:
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Press onto a lined oven tray, making sure to keep the mix as even as possible.
- Bake at 150°C for 35-40 minutes, rotating once.
- Allow the baking tray to cool on a wire rack.
- Break apart and enjoy.
*These clusters can be stored in an airtight jar for up to one week, which is great for batch making. Though with this flavour, there’s no judgement if they don’t last quite that long.
